At the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, Elerai Camp is situated on a 5,000-acre private conservation reserve in a serene, pristine location, 12 kilometers southeast of Amboseli National Park.
As the camp nearest to Mt. Kilimanjaro, it offers guests what is possibly the greatest site of any camp in Amboseli, with views down onto Amboseli National Park in one direction and up to the mountain in the other.
Accommodation
Elerai Camp offers twelve Deluxe Tents with a view of the mountains and five Cottage Rooms, all of which are designed to make sure you have the most luxurious stay possible.
Every Deluxe Tent features an attached bathroom with a large shower and a toilet that overlooks the mountains. Acacia poles, makuti (thatch) roofing, and raised cedar wood floors all blend seamlessly with the surroundings. Huge balconies with comfortable daybeds provide the ideal setting for unwinding and taking in the mountain’s varying moods.
Large sliding doors in the tastefully decorated Cottage Rooms lead out onto your private porch with views of Amboseli National Park and the plains below. Elerai’s bathrooms are designed with natural rock and acacia wood, and feature a specially made bathtub and shower.

Food.
A variety of cuisines are offered by our safari chefs to suit every palate and dietary requirement. The dining room has views of the Amboseli plains to the west and Mt. Kilimanjaro to the south across the resident waterhole.

Tortilis camp.
This camp is situated in one of Amboseli’s Acacia regions. Tortilis Camp gets its name from the flat-topped umbrella thorn tree, Acacia Tortilis.

Kilima Safari Camp is situated close to the Kimana Gate Park entry in Amboseli National Park. It occupies 420 acres of land in its entirety.
